Years ago, in college, I had to read an interesting book, THE MISMEASURE OF MAN. The Panda's Thumb: More Reflections in Natural History is a collection of essays on natural history and evolution. Stephen Jay Gould's The Mismeasure of Man is one of the classic works of history of science. The book “the mismeasure of man” chapters 3 and 4, Gould discusses further some of the ways that scientists have cheated either intentionally or unintentionally. Gould, (1981) in his book The Mismeasure of Man provides ample evidence of the ways science has aided, and in some cases abetted, social and racial prejudice.
